This doesn’t work on every lock check the type of locks you want to pick before you buy works perfectly.

Definitely take a few minutes to learn it. There's definitely a technique to it. I got my front door open in 2 minutes. I've never picked a lock in my life. Just make sure you buy the one that's designed to kit the key slot you'd like to pick. I selected KW1. Kwickset loc(set used by 75% of homes.

Works when used properly
I work for a Locksmith and I use the Lishi tools and have never had any issues with them. The thing to remember is that first off, you need to use the correct Lishi in the correct Keyway, use a KW1 with a Kwikset keyway, the SC1 for a Schlage keyway. Also the lock needs to be well lubricated and clean. These tools do work when used properly. Also be sure that the keyway is not a 6 pin rather than a 5 pin, there is a difference and the KW1 will not work in a 6 pin lock, it only works in a 5 pin lock.
